Latest POA BriarBeat newsletter
Update:  More of us are having home repairs, updates, and other work.  Help out your neighbors by passing on good experiences--and also pass on warnings about bad jobs.  The webmaster needs your name, address and phone number, but only for verification that you are a resident.  Only your first name and initial will be on the website, and not even that if you so request.  Help us all and get help.  There are recommendations and warnings there already.  All on the Info page.

Reminder from the Constable (281-463-6666):

Suspicious persons have been seen in the neighborhood, and on the John Paul II school grounds. If you see people--school age, teenage, young adults, or others in places they should not be--day or night--call the constable immediately. John Paul II school officials say there are no permissions for anyone to use the pavillion, picnic tables, playground equipment, or basketball courts, and they would appreciate residents letting the constables know of these criminal trespassers. Note: When the operator asks if it is an emergency, say "Yes."

Keep your garage doors closed. An open garage door is an invitation to burglars shopping the neighborhood.

Houston Public Library has implemented updated service hours.  The District G Neighborhood Library Hours (Jungman, Looscan and Robinson-Westchase (and Kendall, in District A, which serves a large District G population)) are as follows:

Monday: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.     Tuesday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.      Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Thursday: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.   Friday: 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Saturday: 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.     Sunday: Closed

(You can visit www.houstonlibrary.org/new-hours-of-operation for more information about the new service hours.)

Recommend your Contractor (or warn against)...

Do you know a good, reliable plumber, A/C service, carpenter, electrician, painter, roofer, tree trimmer, or other contractor?  If you have experience with a contractor that you would like to share, use the general email on the Contact Us page to send it to the webmaster.  We'll need your name and address--but just to be sure you are a resident and not a contractor promoting himself.  Your full name will not be published.

Vacation watch

Complete and mail this form to the Constable's office seven days before your departure date.
